The Curriculum of Cuisine brings chefs into the classroom and offers young adults the opportunity to learn essential culinary skills through hands-on, experiences in conjunction with various core subjects.

How The Curriculum of Cuisine Works:
Each teacher involved with TCC meets with the TCC Program Director and Chef to outline the goals and direction of the semester long program. Possible curriculum includes:
  • Language Arts Teacher + Culinary Professional craft a semester rich in reading and writing relative to the culinary experience in literature and life
  • Social Studies Teacher + Culinary Professional generate classes analyzing the socio-cultural, political, and personal relationships around food and eating.
  • Natural Science Teacher + Culinary Professional integrate gardening into a semester for to study the culinary experience from seed-to-table
